My cat loves bugs...
I hope you can help me! We live in a small, quiet nieghborhood and our 2
cats come and go as they please via a cat door. One of the cats has a compulsion to bring in bugs (moths and grasshoppers mostly) on a daily basis. I have locked the cat door until I can come up with a solution to the bug problem. Any suggestions?? |

It is safer for them, and the bugs ;-) |

Any suggestions?? Your cats are feeding you. They are bringing you food! How much better does it get? |

Grasshopper Pie
Melt: 3 Tbsp butter Crush:25 grasshoppers (food processors do a good job) Stir butter into grasshoppers, reserving some legs and antennas for top. Line 10" pie plate with mixture. Sautee 24 moths m (5 oz.) in 1/2 C warm milk Add: 4 Tbsp creme de menthe amd 2 Tbsp creme de cocoa Whip: 1 pint heavy cream Fold into moth mixture. Pour into crust. Top with legs and antennas and freeze until ready to serve. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving. SAVE ME SOME! |

Any easy solution to the problem of cats and cat doors is not to have one. I'd much rather open and close the human door for my cat than be faced with "whatever the cat dragged in." :c) |

Any suggestions?? Well, seeing that you have not provided a proper bug receptacle on the outside... You could always make the door one way - out. |

My cat used to eat spiders, but always left the legs, never figured out
why, they must have been bitter tasting or something! Chris |
