Velvet Toes

The tops of Chessie's toes are like the finest velvet - she doesn't much
like having her toes touched but if I pet them very, very gently, I can get
away with it She does like tummy tickles and will lie stretched out
full length on my arm while I rub her tummy and tell her what a very bestest
kitty she is!

Persia doesn't like to have her paws touched (and yes, they are soft as
velvet!). She doesn't have such compunctions about touching *my* "paws".
When sleeping, she'll often drape her paws over my hand or even wrap both
front paws around it and lay her head down on my hand like a pillow. I find
that terribly endearing

My two have lovely velvet feeties, but I've never dared to touch them.
Kitty FC's because she is too potentially fierce, and Boyfriend's because I
think he still wouldn't trust me to do it and I don't want to lose his
hard-won confidence.
This post made me want to stroke feeties. BF is out, but Kitty FC was
snoozing in front of the kitchen fire. I *did* ask her first, so she
wasn't asleep. She said yes, okay. I gently stroked the top of her right
paw. That was OK. I did the same to her left paw, that was OK too. I
stroked the right paw again, and she put her claws out and turned her paw
over, but she didn't scratch. I went to the left paw again to stroke the
lovely velvet top of it, so very gently. And what happened?
You can probably guess. In an instant she grabbed my hand, bit it, and
clawed my finger that was stroking her paw. Then she ran off, as if she
knew she was wrong to do it. What's that about?

Frank doesn't like his paws touched, but Nikki likes to get a paw
massage every now and then. She likes to have her toes separated and to
be tickled between the toes and at the base of the paw pad. Am I a good
slave or what? ;o)

Neither of the girls here like having their toes touched - but they
have to put up with an occassional "pinky toe" game.
