Default I called Harri's specialist to make a small donation.....

I called Harri's specialist to make a small donation, and there is a *huge*
outstanding bill, as you might imagine from the extensive, (expensive!) care
Harri required.

My little $10 donation isn't much, but it's a little something I can do to help
a very, very special little kitty, and her wonderful slave Dan out.

I only wish I could do more.

My wonderful kitty Kenzie has never been sick a day since she enslaved me, but
my 18 year old car is another matter, unfortunately.

Believe me, every little bit is a help! And the purrs and prayers and
emotional support are very greatly appreciated.

Things worked out quite well, thanks to the support of this group. The
visit to the first vet was covered by my final disability check thanks
to the wonderful generosity of this group (half of the vet bill was
taken care of!). My initial payment to the specialist was exactly
covered by my previous disability check. You all donated enough to the
specialist that the insurance settlement check I should be receiving
this week will cover the remainder. If not for your generosity I'd still
be facing a huge deficit that I'd have to borrow money to cover.

Having one's beloved pets get sick is never a good thing, but the timing
on Harri's illness could have been a lot worse. My short-term disability
checks have not been needed to make ends meet, thanks to Nancy's income,
so we were able to use them entirely for Harri's care. It was a major
PITA having my pickup truck totalled, and we had been hoping to use the
insurance settlement to buy a 2nd vehicle. But as luck would have it,
we're expecting to receive it this week, just in time to pay off the
vet. Since the vet allowed us to give them a check dated for Friday,
that should work quite well.

Over all, things could have been much worse.

As I said before - THANK YOU ALL!

Dan

I guessed it would be very expensive, as such specialist care would be here
in the UK. Although my wages will totally cease on 14/8 and I mightn't be
well by then, I could send a little more of what I have to help on top of
what I've sent already.
It's only money after all. Pay forward and you'll get it back when you need
it.
I have a nearly full freezer so I won't starve if I send a bit more for
Harri. Neither will the cats, I bought *so* much cat food, both wet and
biskies when I knew I had to go into hospital that it will definitely last
them another month.

Actually, Christina, I believe things are ok. Why don't you hold on to
what you've got? The way circumstances have worked, Harri's bill is
pretty well handled. Thank you for the thought, though.

This is why people just love you, Dan. Or one reason.
