The Nanki-Poo saga continues
Nanki-Poo was very good about letting me catch him and put him in the
carrier for the drive to his radiation treatment. He complained only a small part of the way. When we got there, I had to knock twice, to get somebody's attention. Then, the man who came to the door told me that the machine is broken and they can't give any treatments. They hope to have it fixed by tomorrow. They'll call me tomorrow and let me know. That means that I wasted 75 miles worth of gas, and Nanki-Poo complained most of the way home. It also means that we'll have another treatment at the end of the series, so we still have 19 trips to go. :-( To do them justice, they did try to call me, but I had already left. I can never be sure of the traffic, so I always allow extra time. -- Joy My mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open. |

Oh no. How frustrating. 75 miles worth of gas *is* substantial! But the worst is getting Nanki Poo stressed for nothing. I hope things smooth out and the rest of your treatments go smoothly for you. But I guess if you did have one, then you would have already given them that number. The man who told me about this said it happens very seldom, and has never happened after hours before. On the few occasions when it has happened, it has been early enough in the day that it has been repaired before the next morning. Joy |
