Default GranMeowmie -- Saturday Morning Update

Unfortunately, I have to contradict Unca Adam's update, as it was made
before all of my mom's lab results were back (including the bone marrow
biopsy). Turns out she has acute myelogenous leukemia. She should start
chemo on Sunday. She should be in the hospital 3 or 4 more weeks, or until
the bone marrow biopsy comes up "clean." Purrs, prayers, meditations, and
good vibes would be greatly appreciated.

The funny thing is that she had no real symptoms except being tired all the
time. No astronomical white cell count. No sudden weight loss. She had a
complete physical only last March, and everything was normal.

Thanks,
Meowmie Debby

Purrs, purrs, purrs. I'm so glad they pinpointed the problem and she is
getting treated. Please keep us posted.

A very similar thing happened to me. Before I was diagnosed with lymphoma, I
was tired all the time, but had no weight loss, abnormal blood counts,
anything -- everything was normal.
