It is possible to get him scanned for a microchip? If he stays, or comes back and stays, he will have to be checked over by the vet - I assume the vet can do that. However, chips are not popular in this area. I'm always amazed when someone abandons a purebred cat as he sure appears to be. But what passes for people can get in over their heads with one. A fully endowed Siamese tom without a proper upbringing can be a real handful and quite a challenge. Get one with a streak of mean and they can be downright scary for a non cat person. Our Sam killed and dragged home full grown jackrabbits. And this was after he lost the use of one leg. He also slept in my daughters crib from the time she was a few weeks old and raised a newborn puppy with just some help from us when it had to be fed. I know you will do your best by him, and can allow him to be whatever cat he is. I'm glad he found you, and hope he finds his one true home, wherever it is meant to be. Jo |

I am not sure you will have a choice in the matter, if he figured out the
flap and the others aren't hostile I think you better start picking out names, Lee Ted Davis wrote in message ... I saw the gorgeous dark Siamese again today ... in my computer room. I haven't seen him since Friday, but Spot is hanging around and I doubt that two intact males would be here at the same time, especially when one of them is feral and sort of lives under my workshop. -- T.E.D. ) Remove "gearbox.maem" to get real address - that one is dead |

I hope he finds one somewhere else - I do *not* need another cat. Would it be worth advertising widely in case he got into a vehicle accidentally? He is so lovely and (was) well fed that I think his slaves might be desperate about where he is. I'll go through the motions - if he stays around - but I suspect he was dumped. Given that you said you lived in a remote location, you are probably right. I don't understand, and will never, why people dump cats. If you don't want your cat, find a no-kill shelter to rehome it. This boy looks like Siamese purebred. He must have cost a lot of money to buy in the first place, so why not, if they did not want him any more, not advertise for a new home for him? I'm sure there would have been someone who just had a Siamese pass away that would have loved to have him. However, now he is yours :-) Tweed |

I wouldn't call it a farm, but since 2/3 of the acrage is in hay and the yard takes four hours to mow, it probabaly is - though a small one. The cats can roam for a couple of miles to the north and west without encountering a road or other habitation, and many of them do. I think you could possibly have room for a new lost Siamese boy then. Tweed (no pressure at all) |

If he doesn't, he won't. Ted will have very little say in the matter. Jo |
