Safe Dosage of Diphenhydramine?
Need to get my cat to sleep. Cat is 12-14lbs. A standard pill is 25mg.

your cat. Bad idea. I have a high tolerance for most drugs but diphenhydramine (benadryl) wipes me out, just 25 mg of it so I sure wouldn't give it to a cat. I don't think I've heard of benadryl being given to cats. I sure wouldn't do it, you don't know what might happen. If you do what people suggest, play with him before bed, feed him, etc., he will eventually get more on to your schedule. Or lock him elsewhere for the night as others said. Bad idea to experiment with drugs on a cat.
