What kind, and where did you get it? Can they be used on wood floors? I'm

guessing that the answer to that is probably "no", but what the heck, it
doesn't hurt to ask. :-)

I think the answer is "yes, if you like grey bumpy wood floors!

I just bought a Bissell Steam Mop, so I was able to check the instructions
for you. Their booklet says, "Steam Mop is designed to clean bare flooring
such as ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate, marble, stone and *sealed* hard wood
floors." Later, the instructions say that the Steam Mop "is not for use on
unsealed wood floors." I think I would be concerned, though, even if the
floors are sealed. There could always be some area where steam could
penetrate if the wood isn't completely sealed.

I've got the Euro Pro Shark one and that's pretty much the same info as well.
I don't know if my wood floors are sealed or not, so I'm not using it on the
wood floors. I use one of the dry swiffer type things to get dust and dirt,
and I've cleaned with a mixture of vinegar and water (but only slightly damp).
I've also cleaned with this natural orange cleaner which kind of treats the
wood by moisturizing it. But I'm new to the wood floor thing so if anyone has
something that would work better, please let me know. I do love my steamer
though for ceramic and tile floors. Someone was telling me about a cleaner
available at Trader Joe's called Zen that's supposed to be pet friendly but I
haven't tried it yet.

Murphy's Oil Soap. It's also great for cleaning oil paint out of
paintbrushes, if you happen to have a sideline as an artist. ;-)

And the scent! Mmmmm. Very nice.
