Default What Seven Weeks Has Taught the Kittens

1. The sucky monster will get you.
2. Be careful when attacking the thing that follows Merlin about, as he
is a lot quicker than he looks.
3. When the hoomins are laughing, they are laughing at you.
4. You can climb sideways on Grandmeow's craft baggy thing and attack
Merlin from above, but be careful, he is very cranky.
5. Meowmies get tired easily and don't want to play anymore.
6. There is nothing as good as a wrestling match with a friend.
7. Huey looks friendly, but he is not.
8. Tanada may not look friendly, but she at least won't hiss at you very
often.
9. That huge cat, QC? Usually very patient, but watch his tongue. He
lifted Qui Gun up off the bed a couple of days ago, while cleaning Qui's
bottom.
10. Grandmeow makes a lot of noise, which is good, as she doesn't always
look where her feet are going. She is good to nap with, as is Grandpaw.
11. Mike is always fun.
12. The blonde hoomin is meaner than Merlin.
13. Exploration is a proper occupation for a clowder of young kits.

Sonya is in the process of fully weaning the kits. She is really relieved
when they are turned loose in the house (when Speedy is outside, as he
doesn't seem to understand that the kitten if frailer than the adult)and
takes every opportunity to pretend that she doesn't know them. She also
takes those opportunities to take naps, and get in a good grooming. The
kits have discovered that there are a lot of potty boxes to use in this
house and insist on using them all, much to the disgust of the big cats.
Now that they are being more independent, I've noticed that Sonya no
longer looks like she has the perpetual headache.

My mother once said that a litter of kittens is kind of like a bunch
of cockroaches, only a little bigger, and fuzzy. Disgusting, but
I kind of know what she means.

Yes, Mom was right. Good thing for them that they're fuzzy and cute.

Pictures! We want more piccies!! =o)

I'll bet Sonya IS happy that her brood is a bit more self-sufficient, now.

What? they haven't learned anything from Pine Cone? Or are they
already experts at being hoolikittens?

ROFL! It sounds like you have a busy household there.

Pine Cone has been watching over them like a fat, paternal, indulgent,
uncle cat. They don't need much help in causing trouble though. They've
already shredded 3 knee high nylons. I won't tell you what Mandy calls
them. I think I've cured her of wanting to adopt every kitten she sees,
though.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. All five are currently in the process of tearing
up my craft basket, grabbing and biting my toes, chasing Tanada (why she
hasn't hissed at them I'll never know) and dumping every bit of paper and
books off of all desks and book cases in my bedroom. Apparently, we're
the funnest game in town. No wonder Sonya always looked like she had a
headache. BTW, I've been home less than ten minutes.
