Default Roxy entertains my singing group

Last night my choral group had our weekly rehearsal, but the woman who
usually hosts the rehearsals was sick and couldn't be there. So we met
at my place instead.

It was about 95 degrees (35 C) in the apartment, even with the fans
going, so we were all pretty wilted. We did make a half-hearted attempt
at singing, but then Roxy jumped onto a chair when the person who had
been sitting there stood up.

It happened to be my office chair, which I'd wheeled into the living
room to accomodate extra people. It also spins around. So I said to
someone standing by the chair, "Hey, spin that chair around - Roxy loves
it." So she spun the chair, and Roxy obliged by digging her claws in and
looking cute. She (the person) spun the chair for quite a long time,
and then started spinning it the other way. I was worried that Roxy would
grace us all with a huge barf, but instead she just kind of sprawled out
on the chair (with claws dug into the fabric so she wouldn't fly off),
and looked *totally stoned*. Everyone was greatly amused.

And then we bagged the rehearsal and all went out for ice cream. It was
that kind of night!

That sounds very warm for the Bay Area.

Oh, we always get a few days like this in the summer. Especially since
I live in the East Bay, which is always warmer than San Francisco.

I'm just bummed because my car's air conditioner conked out a couple
of months ago. The other day I brought the car in to have it looked at,
and the estimate to get it fixed was $1400. Don't think so! So my
45-minute commute to work is going to be a bit warmer this summer.

My van is a2000 and the air went out last summer. 1200 to fix it, that's
more than the thing is worth. My DIL moaned all summer until her mother
bought her a van with air.
My son still drives mine most of the time.

Really?! I lived in Washington state for 4 years. Don't remember it
ever got that hot.
Here is eastern Ontario, we are at 17-18C, which is around 60s F. I
kept putting off getting the AC ready for the summer, which can get as
hot as the high 30s C or
around 100 F.
