Human note:

According to my records, with the passing of Holly, House of Rankin,
we no longer have any purrday kitties for December!

NO DECEMBER KITTIES?!!!!!!!

If anybody knows of any December kitties, please let me know. In case
we have some, here is your purrday song - don't forget to let me know
to add you!

Anti Evelyn (who caved and is using mozarella.org - thanks to those
who suggested it. I may switch to the other one though)

At the Rest Area where I work, we are about to have a boat load of December
kittens. The poor Mom cat can hardly walk. We have made her a "house" out
of a plastic tote with towels in the bottom.

Please purr that things will go well, she just won't get close enough to let
us catch her. I go and sit on the ground each day and talk to her. She must
know by instinct how long my arms are because, she is always just out of
touch. Maybe after the bitties get here we can get her.

The shelters around here are all out of money so are of no help.

I would be EXTREMELY careful. Mama cats are notoriously overprotective
of their kittens. I wouldn't want you to get bit, or worse, especially
since it seems, from your description of her, she's a feral cat.
Communicable diseases (like rabies) are always a concern with ferals, as
I'm sure you already know.

I know you are right but, I have seen one too many bitties and mom cats left
lying under the wheels of a truck in the parking lot. We will try and live
trap her as soon as we can. She is getting quite fond of beef and cheese
sticks, which I have in my vending machines and feed to her each day. I

I think "kitten season" in the northern hemisphere slows around
November, and doesn't pick up again until late March.
