Looking for Climbing Tree
I've seen them in stores.. Petsmart has them 3 feet high. The tag says
that they are made my North American Pet... But, I can't find one tall enough to entertain a fully grown cat. They actually look like trees. Large padded base that looks like a grassy hill... Tall trunk covered in long shag rug. Green pods on the trunk so the cat can climb to the top. AND a huge green top like you would expect with some exotic tree. but I need one about 6' tall. I've seen them in Connecticut but the store sold the last one before I could buy it. One place in Old Town Sacramento CA has on in their window, but they want 800 bucks for it. The Petsmart version is $100 for the 3' version andthe ones I say in CT weren't much more expensive for the 6' version. They look totally cool in the house and are more fun that the artificial looking ones made of large tubes, boxes and and hemp rope covered poles. Anyone know where I can find one???? On the west coast? |

I ordered mine from www.createacatcondo.com, and I (and my cats) am delighted with it. It is sturdy and is delivered fully assembled. If you check out their page, you will find a wide variety of configurations available. I think their prices are excellent when compared to others of similar quality, and their prices include the cost of delivery. All orders are custom-made for the customer, so you can request variations. For example, I asked to have mine one foot taller than what was shown in the description, and they did not charge any extra. I had one pole wrapped in sisal as a scratching post and the others carpeted. I also used one color carpeting for the beds and a neutral beige for the poles. If you would like to see pictures of my cats enjoying their tree, go to http://tinyurl.com/8y56 and scroll down. There is also one picture of how the bed looks when it is delivered (completely assembled but tightly wrapped, sort of like a mummy). Incidentally, the post is heavy -- a "plus" because it will not topple over, but you should plan ahead for the spot where it is to be placed.
