I have a fixed cat that constantly mounts my other male cat and he is
not doing anything but lying down
the other one tries to get away poor thing
but why is he fixed he is still trying to mount?
he has been fixed for a year

Seriously, I sometimes wonder about this with my two neutered male
cats who do this. They also groom each other, so I suspect they have
some sort of relationship going on ;-)

Seriously, it is usually a dominance thing.
