We have some snow, but very little. My Paw keeps complaining about the
"wimpy *ss winter weather" since we've had temperatures near or above
freezing for a couple of weeks and very little snow.

We are okay in Connecticut. Our power stayed on and we got only about 10
inches of snow. It is hard to tell the exact amount with all the snow
blowing around.

We got smacked considering we are where 'sticking snow' normally happens
only every 4 years or so and rarely over 2-4 inches. Lost power for a few
hours and used the fireplace with pets on mattress before it and us on the 3
inch thick 'futon-foam mattress' in the living room. Power came on before
pipes froze.

All well here (grin).

Well, we have pipe heaters here in the garage.

Meantime, the base did open at 11am because the interstates have been
cleared but I'd have 2 miles of uncleared solid ice (about 3-4 inches thick)
on the side roads before I can even tell if they cleared Rosemont yet, then
1.5 miles up that if not cleared. Doesnt matter. I didn't make it into the
car. Slipped and fell in my own driveway and twisted my lower back.

I don't *think* it's gonna be a bad episode. I loaded up on muscle
relaxants and tramadol and am sitting quietly at home with my rice bag
warmers.
Carol
