Default Where are you from?

Not long ago, somebody started a "What do you do for a living?" thread.
That was real interesting. I'm a relative newcomer, and I haven't fixed
in my mind where everybody lives.

What country/state do you live in? Is that where you're originally
from?

I live in Pennsylvania, USA. I've moved around a lot in PA, but almost
always lived in this state.

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was born in London, England
but moved to Sacramento, CA early on. Then we moved around
a lot. I spent more of my childhood in Washington, DC than anywhere
else, but I have lived in several major US cities. I find Raleigh to be like
a big suburb.

I'm originally from Woburn, Massachusetts, which is 12 miles northwest of
Boston. Moved to St. Cloud, Florida, which is about 15 miles east of
Orlando, in 1988.
Charleen,
Mr. Pumpkin,
Aggie Marble,

I live in Portland, OR. I have lived pretty much all over the US (and
in CAN, as a kid) with the exception of the deep south. I grew up in
Illinois, about 50 miles south of Chicago.

As for places to live, I prefer the (non-SF Bay) West coast to just
about anywhere else except Hawaii.

Originally from Virginia. An Army/Air Force brat, I lived in VA,
Pennsylvania, Illinois, northern Louisiana, southern Louisiana,
Sebring and Lakeland, Florida, Washington DC, Alabama, back to
Florida, now back in Alabama.

If you look at

http://blakjak.com/hpcop_ad.htm

you will see where everyone who posts to any cat NG is from - except
people who have not furnished their details, of course.

This also gets posted on the NGs form time to time.

I live in the USA. I grew up in Whitehouse, Ohio and moved to State
College, PA when I was twenty. After living in State College for 9
years I moved to Cary, NC which is right next to Raleigh. I lived there
for eleven years and then moved to the Washington, DC area last year.
Who knows how long we will stay here. I've lived all those places but
my heart belongs to Marquette, MI where we vacation.

Currently living in Bloomington, Indiana (former home of Bobby Knight,
current home of John "Cougar" Mellencamp, birthplace of David Lee Roth
(former Van Halen front-man), and home to missing IU student Jill Berhman
whose body was found last year in a field a county north, but no killers
have been found yet).

I was born in Izmir, Turkey to US Air Force dad & stay-at-home mom, and
lived in Germany, California, Texas, Mississippi, & Oklahoma before I was 5
years old. Then dad retired from the AF & got a civvy job at Crane (a
land-locked Navy base here in Indiana) repair electronic communications
equipment, and we moved to Bedford, Indiana: Limestone Capital of the
World - limestone was used in Pentegon, Empire State Building, countless
memorials, statues & monuments in Wahsington DC (including the Washington
Crossing the Deleware statue, of which I have a piece that came off the
block used to carve it) & elsewhe and home to *3* astronauts: Walker,
Grissom & Bowersox (I lived 3 houses up the street from him when I was a
kid). http://www.limestonecountry.com/Home.html

We didn't have pets as a kid, aside from hamsters, so now I'm making up for
lost time with *8* cats
