If I being determined not to encourage this picked them up and lay back down she'd pull them off again in the same order. The second time was enough because by then Dave was woken up and grumbling about her. She taught me very quickly that the correct procedure when she started on the door frame was to stagger into the kitchen and throw wet in the bowl then she would graciously allow me to go back to bed as she liked her breakfast about 5AM.Would you believe I am still waking up at 5AM?! I even miss that Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furball I believe it. I still miss my green-eyed boy (Barnabus RB last July). He would get on my pillow and stick his purring nose into my ear. That was a lovely way to wake up. Smeagol and Marley literally put their (not so) little hineys right up to daddy's nose. That is *not* a lovely way to wake up (but it does make me giggle every day). If Smeagol decides to wake me first, he gets his (not so) little nose, right up to my eyelid, and starts purring (for all the world like he's saying, "mommy... can you *see* me purring?") |

Uh....yeah; re the hiney: when the Snaggly flops his considerable girth on my sleeping head with his breakfast on his one-track mind, breathing obscured, my eyes pop open and first conscious thought is, "I hope the front end is thisaway" . No "little face in mine" Tak. This is one *big* cat and he don't have a little face anyway. |

I just keep thinking "she had a chance"- it was bad enough with Fugazi and she was dying- wasn't suffering Kylie said I could have taken her home for one last night- but would be soon so all I was really doing was allowing her to exit before she did- she would have died whatever I did but painfully if I had stayed my hand Dunzi the vet reckoned a 25 -30% chance she'd have made it to the emergency clinic and I am still thinking "30% that's 3 in 10" why didn't I plead with that vet to give her a little more time to stabilise when she went to sleep at the last moment she seemed to perk up a little was the the drip/antibiotic etc kicking in? Maybe she just needed to rest and would have sailed through it all and right now she'd be here..it wasn't about money I can afford it the vet said £600 at least and that these days is sod all (I am not saying I won the lottery or something but I do have a few bob set aside) Dave says he was here so he is a lot easier for him in some ways- he thought she was gone at home and all that was left was her body But I still think ..what if?
