Default All About the Princess Rita

Rita has her own BCT now. Remember way back when I mentioned that she didn't like any food in gravy, that she preferred the pate type of food, AND I had to mash it with a fork? Yeah, she's over that now. Suddenly she decides that she doesn't like pate all that much and she'd rather have gravy. Well sorry girlie, I can't afford to give away all that food, you're gonna have to pick at it for at least another week or two. Then I'll get more gravy for you. There is some gravy-based cans in the mix, so she gets plenty of food. I'm not heartless, after all. Fancy Feast sent me a sample of that 'broth' stuff they have now. She licked the dish clean. Wow, she loves that stuff.

So, now I'm going to be teleworking at least 2 days a week, if my laptop cooperates (we have a rather contentious relationship). Rita is confused, and she keeps trying to walk all over the laptop when I'm trying to work. I've heard that the solution to that problem is a box on the other end of the table, but the Princess Rita isn't a box cat. So this week I had a brainstorm and put her favorite folded blanket on the other end of the table, and SUCCESS!! She laid on the blanket and slept all day while I worked away, unmolested.

She loves her new petsitter, and I love getting very detailed reports on her behavior while I'm gone. The cleaning lady gives me reports, too.

I can't believe she's 11 years old now. Where did the time go?

For the moment, sure she loves the broth. Until you buy a bunch of it.

Persia used to just lap up the gravy on the FF but not touch the meat.
I felt that sort of defeated the purpose. She did have the pate, just a
Tbs. a day along with her r/x kibble. And yes, I did have to mash it up
with a fork. I can totally relate to that.

I'm glad the Princess is using her blanket and not interfering with your
work. Just give her the occasional scritch or acknowledgement.

That's one thing I must commend Persia about. She was never much
interested in jumping up on things, much less my desk.

It's nice they're keeping you informed.

I don't know where the time goes. I'm glad this is all working out for
both of you.
