Please, make da rain stop!

Paw and me is sitting at a truck stop in Arifurzona. Itz Saturday
morning and we will be sitting here until Sunday noon. Dere is a
wonderful, great, exciting big field next to da truck stop - we took our
kitten walk dere yesfurday. So Paw and me has dis great opportunity to
do lotz and lotz of kitty walking.

But itz RAINING! And Paw says we has to wait until da rain stops
(something about him not having any rainproof clothes. Hoomins can be
such wimps!). So please, make da rain stop! We had a hour and a half
kitten walk yesfurday, and I scared up 4 birdies and a few lizzards, and
I got to drag Paw around some really big acacia trees. So I'z REALLY
hoping dat da rain stops. Now.

Wish I could help, but Mom keeps telling me weather is Dad's
department, but Dad never does anything about it [it's COLD here, too,
and I heard Mom say "they" think it's going to rain].

Felix, wishing weather were more adjustable

Mine sisfur Amelia tells me the same thing. When it rains, she goes out
into the back yard and sits by the fence and glares at the humans while
she gets all wet. She says it'z da human's fault, Paw's in particular.
So she gets all wet and glares at dem to make dem feel guilty. But so
far it hasn't helped any. She still just gets wet and the rain doesn't
stop and quicker.

I learnded somefing furry important. If I look really, really sad and
really, really bored, and meow-cry a lot, and attack Paw's bare feet wif
my claws, him will take me for a walk even if it'z raining!

Wez went fur about a hour walk, and it waz great! Lots of holes in da
ground dat fings used to live in, and a couple of really inneresting big
big holes dat Paw wouldn't let me go down into, and some plants dat
smell really good and dat I had to nibble on da ends of (Human note: not
sure what kind of plant it was, but was of the Salvia (sage) family).

It waz rainin a liddle when we started out, but affer about a half hour
it stopped. Paw bringed a dry towel in a plastic bag, so when it was
time to go back him picked me up and wrapped me in da towel and dried me
off. I still squirmed and cried and begged "please, Paw, just 5 more
minutes!", but mean old Paw wouldn't let me. Him does promise, though to
do anudder kitty walk tomorrow if da weather isn't too bad.

Den him had to go into da truck stop and take a shower and wash his
laundry, cuz him weared his last pair of clean pants fur our walk and
dey wasn't furry clean or dry when we waz done. Him was in da truck stop
fur a couple of hours, but I forgived him cuz him bringed me some nice
warm turkeybird to munch on.

Dis is getting to be lotz of fun!

So when is dis train fingy supposed to leave da station? I fink I is
ready. Since I have a bit of sperience riding in a truck I fink I won't
get too too scared at riding on a train. Maybe.
