....that I am without some form of wildlife company.

Let Bobby Charlton the sparrow go as she had recovered enough to be looking and
acting quite perky.

This evening Waffles tells me "MMOOWWWZZ!" and drops a twitching vole at my
feet. So I've put it in a little cage lined with the results of putting paper
through the office shredder and as I was eating a bowl of fresh strawberries at
the time Waffles brought in her tea-time offering, it had a slice of fresh,
juicy strawberry placed next to it.

It has perked up and is munching on fresh strawberry. I'll let it go free in
the garden a little later.

Cheers, helen s

cat she is.

I'm sorry Helen, this just made me laugh. How patient you are - do you
realize most people would freak if their cat brought them a still alive
present? And a mole to boot? I'd have to put my foot down to snakes, I get
the total willies from most reptiles. I'd politely ask the cat to take the
live snake outside then kill it. Uh, cannot stand them! My mighty hunters
have been fly hunting, with no success. That's ok, it gives dad something
to do with his time (hunting flies). smile Now if I could get him to
clean up dead fly guts off the windows!!!!!

One cat I used to have brought in a snake and turned it loose [I think
Smokey thought my grandfather and I were giant kittens in need of
hunting lessons]. My grandfather [grew up on a farm, spent most of his
working life as a logger] caught the snake and evicted it while I was
climbing the furniture screaming [I have a *major* snake phobia].
Smokey seemed rather annoyed with us. :-)

Bootsie is the fly huntress here. But she doesn't kill them. After she's played
with them till they are too injured to fly, she loses interest. So I have all
these walking flies on the windowsill.
