That's one big kitty kat!

He was my alltime favorite cat, ever. He was mean as the devil and not afraid
of anything. He was fat when we got him, and he was only 3. He lived to be 17.
The people that had him relinquished him because he was beating up their dog.
He was PTS March 30, 2000 for kidney failure.

They said he felt lost without his owner and
stopped eating altogether when he was put on a diet to gradually lose
weight.

I hear the cat has been making remarkable progress on his diet. They just sent
me this photo of him ;-)

He looks like he was a real bundle. I like the way your outfits match
in the picture. :-)

Sorry to follow up my own post, but I went digging and found that
photo, if the link still works. You can really tell how big he is in
this one.

Oh, what a gorgeous kitty! But he sure doesn't look happy. I hope they
can bring his weight down safely. Obviously, he needs to lose some so
he can have mobility again. But I worry about fatty liver syndrome,
which is a real danger when a cat, especially a fat cat, loses too much
weight too quickly. It's important to monitory his liver function very
closely if he's on a strict diet. I hope they're being very careful
about this.

You forget the cat's in Germany and he's being cared for by a shelter
employee. They've probably already plotted out his meals, vitamin
supplements and exercise regimen for every day in the next five years.
