Harry Roadcat update - it's looking grim

I finally got to talk to the vet about 45 minutes ago. Harri did survive
te night, and she is breathing more easily thanks to massive doses of
antibiotics and steroids.

However, the x-rays show that both of her lungs are partially collapsed.
The vet has no idea what would have caused this, and he has done all he
can for her. He has referred us to a specialist in Orange County. I was
out in Orange County when he called me, so I'm going to be putting in a
lot of miles today (it's about a 3 hour round trip). I stopped at home
just long enough for a bathroom break and to update everyone. As soon as
I hit the "Send" button I'll be hopping in the car, going to pick up
Nancy at work, and picking up Harri at the vet and making a high-speed
run to Orange County. I'm glad Nancy is coming, since I'm going to want
to hold Harri and I got no sleep last night so my reaction time is kind
of slow.

After the specialist looks at Harri's x-rays and lab results he should
be able to tell us if Harri has a reasonable chance to survive. For the
rest of today your purrs and prayers would be more welcome than ever
before. With a little luck, by 3:30 or 4:00 Pacific time I'll be
learning if my little sweet baby will live or die.

In addition to purrs for Harri's health, we could also use financial
purrs. That Nancy's idiot boss will release her to her new job (that
pays 30% more than her current one), that I'll find a job, that the
insurance company will pay off on my totaled pickup quickly, and that
the specialist will take payments.

be purring for the specialist to be able to save her, and for your

We will continue to send purrs for little Harri as well as you and Nancy
in your job searches and although you might not hear from me I'll be
thinking of you and Nancy and your entire furry family (we're heading to
Wisconsin tonight). I wish there was some way we could help out with
the vet bills but Hobbes is running up his own bills, however, we have
more than enough purrs for both your family, mine, Ginger-lynn, Jean,
Tweed and everyone else that needs them right now, so soak them up as
you need them.

Continued purrs for poor little Harri. I just can't get over how fast this
came on. Also purrs for you and Nancy for the job situation and everything
else. I wish I could afford to help with the vet bills.
