Helping animal friends

Canine Connection joined forces with Animal Planet's Be A Hero charitable
campaign, a public service effort raising awareness of helping to better the
lives of animals.

Through promotions, consumers were encouraged to visit Canine Companions
during March to learn more about becoming an "animal hero" in the
Bloomington area.

In July, Animal Planet donated $1,000 to the Monroe County Humane
Association, the animal welfare organization selected by Canine Companions
for making a difference in the lives of animals in our local community.

MCHA executive director Sarah Hayes was presented the check by Canine
Companions owner Bryan Bailey on July 7.

Canine Companions is a dog (and cat) boarding kennel (including a Doggie
Daycare, so you don't have to leave em' home alone all day while you work),
with full veterinary services, as well as grooming and sales of high-end
food and other supplies. They also do obedience training and agility
training. They are located right across the street from the local shelter
and MCHA's office.
