Default Everybody ok in Australia?

I was reading about the cyclone that tore through a portion of Australia,
are any of our friends living around where it touched down? And if you are,
are all of your ok? We are purring and praying that not too many lives were
lost, both 4 and 2-legged and that property damage is minimal. God bless you
all.

Hello!! Sorry, I've been too busy clearing up !! We're ok, aside from
losing a few trees. It hit an hour south of us, so it's pretty bad down
there, and pretty messy here, but thanks to it hitting only a smaller town
and some good planning by our government (who might bugger up the health
system but handles disasters quite well) there were no lives lost. It was
a category 5, the same as Katrina. It could have been a lot worse. There
is a lot of cleaning up to be done, for many weeks, we were declared a
national disaster zone the day before it hit, and they have sent up
Blackhawk choppers and army and emergency workers to help. Lots of people
have lost their houses.
If you google 'cyclone larry' you'll see what I mean....we were VERY
lucky~!!

Wow! It sounds like *YOUR* government, at least, has its sh*t together!
;

I'm glad you made it through OK.

In some ways....and we have a lot less people to worry about. Possibly we
also have more disaster per capita than you guys; we seem to have one big
something (flood, fire, cyclone, drought etc) every year so they are used to
it. They're saying 'no casualities as yet' so hopefully that means none. We
have some real 'close miss' stories though, mainly people seemed to be ok as
they followed the cyclone instructions we are brainwashed with.
I'm glad you made it through OK.
