It's easy for women to say "Snip the male", and it's easy for men to
say "
Fix the female".
Women probably secretly dream of whacking off the male genital, with a
knife. :'(

It makes FAR more sense to neuter the male, IF you're doing just one.
AND it will help his health as well.

But MOST sensible is to neither both males AND females.

Yes, but sometimes females come into heat early at 6 months old and their
owners don't notice even though they intend to get them spayed soon.
I hate the idea that some people have, that if you have a male cat, don't
spend the money on getting him neutered as it doesn't matter. It does
matter.
Unless they are pedigree cats whose bloodlines need to be passed on, IMO,
both sexes should be spayed/neutered.
In the UK, if you cannot afford to have it done, there are charities that
will help with the cost. They advertise that fact in local newspapers
every
day here so there's no excuse. Except laziness.

Yes, both male and female should definitely be fixed. Ironically, it is
even more important (considering the problems of overpopulation) for males
because they can impregnate large numbers of females. Beyond the problem
of overpopulation, both genders will actually be healthier.

Just as in the UK, there are charities here (USA) that will help with the
cost. In some cases, they will take care of 100% of the cost. A clinic
is held in the little town where I live twice a week, and they offer
vaccinations and spay/neuter free of cost for those who quality (based on
income).

Boyfriend got fixed.for 5 pounds. At the time I wasn't going to keep him,
he would be off to the cats home but couldn't resist him. So he stayed
with me. Best thing. He is very timid and I have a quiet home. Suits us
both.

Really? How do you think cargo gets shipped around the country?

Oh, wait... I get it. You're making fun of Tweed's British English.
That's pretty lame.

Lame and stupid. I guess there aren't any cars where he lives, either.

I said Lorry's because it was in the original post
One lorry is a lorry. two is lorries.
I just wish sometimes that Americans wouldn't advise me how to speak
English.
Given that it's my own language and not yours.
Really ticks me off. Big time.

I told you my reason in the original post. Let it drop. If my
newsreader could do kill file, I'd kill file you.

No you didn't tell me why Hobo never made it to the vet for his snip.
Tell me now about the excuse.
Bad luck that you cannot killfile me..
Get Him Done.
My own cat was entire when he got to me, he's a lot happier after the
snip. He doesn't wander for miles after girls. My mother's neighbour's
cat (unneutered) got horrilbly crushed by a lorry. So bad that her
father identified him and wouldn't let her see him.., he was so crushed.
He was out looking for girls. If you want that for your boy, don't get
him neutered.
Made me sick. I knew him. She got her 2 other boys snipped after that.
Tweed

By the way, it's Hondo, not Hobo.

--

doesn't matter about his name, why has he not been neutered?

Thanks, Evelyn. It's time to kick the refuse to neuter his cat person
back in the k/f.

Jill, you stupid bitch. You don't even know how to use a kill file.
You'd be a terrible mother, because you're a petty bitch, who'd make
your kids life miserable, to make yourself feel good. I say one God
Damn thing you don't like and you start screaming kill file. I wouldn't
have even made that comment if Bitch Evelyn hadn't said what she did
about Lorena Bobbit. You Skank Ho, go ahead and put me in your kill
file, if you can figure out how to do do it. BITCH.

Well, that's you gone into my killfile!
I always give people a chance, you blew it big time. Not only you can't
be bothered to neuter your cat, you insult my friends.
This is not the group for you.
Tweed

Kill file, kill file, kill file, that's all you stupid people can say. GTH

One more chance..

Yes but he hasn't got the wits to realise there are differences in how
English has evolved into British English and American English.

I love the my British english but find the American english interesting.

Judith

So do I but it's well away from English "as she is spoke"
in England.
Faucet - tap
Hood (car) - bonnet
Sidewalk - pavement
Fender (car) - wing
Tire - tyre
Etc. Actually it is surprising we can understand each other at all.

Well, I guess your true colors are showing. You seemed OK until someone
made you angry, and then out came the misogyny and name-calling. Is it
really relevant how OLD someone is? There's no call for that no matter
how annoyed you are.

--
Joyce

Ain't the just the truth, resort to name-calling if you cannot accept you
might be in the wrong about not neutering your cat.
We do not have the same feral cat problem here in the UK as you seem to have
in the USA and neither do we have kill shelters, but the minute you let a
boy out intact he will get hold of any intact girl he can find. then there
will kittens to find homes for.
Boyfie got snipped when I could catch him. He recovered from it in 24 hours.
Instead of being out looking for girls and wandering miles away to get
crushed by a lorry, he is now happy to stay close to home. He never goes
far.

can gang up on them and talk **** & make yourselves feel good. GO TO HELL
you stupid old bitch Evelyn.

It's like this. You are adding to the problem of feral cats if you don't
neuter your boy. Simple as. Stop attacking Evelyn. Argue with me instead!
Get Him Done. Tomorrow.
You know it makes sense. I saw your pics, he is lovely, but you are not
doing the best for him.

Thank the superior literacy of British TV programs, which find their way
to American Public Television as alternatives to the crap they produce here.
