Default Buffy and the Brush

I don't know why, but when Persia came to live with me I bought a cat
brush. Somewhere in the back of my mind was cats like to be petted and
given scritches. Therefore they must like to be brushed.

Persia loved being brushed. She would roll around on the brush after I
was done, trying to brush herself.

Turns out Buffy likes to be brushed, too. She's not quite as exuberant
about it as Persia was but she definitely enjoys it. I think it makes
them feel good to lose some of that undercoat, especially with summer
creeping in.

When I first went to meet Buffy the neighbor/caretaker had the AC set to
about 80. Buffy was shedding like crazy. I completely understood -
it's too friggin hot in here! I'd be losing the fur coat, too!

At any rate, Buffy likes to be brushed.

Brushing also helps to prevent (or at least reduce) the possibility of
fur mats, so it's good that Buffy likes to be brushed.

I'm not sure whether Cendrillon would hold still to be brushed, but
judging by the clumps of black fur all over my (recently vacuumed)
carpet, she seems to be doing a pretty good job ridding HERSELF of that
excess fur!
