She is gorgeous! What dry food did you switch to? I'm always up for finding
something that helps with shedding...

Now I'm not just saying this, but she really does seem to have thick fur!
See how thick her head fur looks?

She used to shed *a lot* but I changed her dry food (wet food is still the
same) and she doesn't shed nearly as much as she used to. Perhaps that

also
added to her fat look? Or should I say, phat look? :-) My cat's the
coolest, doncha know!

So, ya, that's it... Thicker, more luxurious fur!

rona (very sensitive about Kitty's weight :-))

Well, Oscar is buff...can we call him "dirty white"? ;-)

I'll have to discuss it with Kitty. She's the Grand Pooba (sp?) so she gets
the last word in all things.

If Oscar's in it, it'll have to be the "Fat But Won't Admit It" club.

Oh, no! It's probably the "I'm not fat but other people's eyes are big"
club. Or the "Who the hell cares if I'm fat, just give me more food" club.
I think Kitty really belongs to the latter.

Sometimes I call her "Fatso catso" or "chub chub". She doesn't seem to
mind, but she could be harbouring some ill-will towards me and will one day
claw me to death and eat my remains. Who knows!

Hmm. I think Oscar must have helped found that one.

Oscar gets called "Chubba Wubba" regularly. He takes it as a term of
endearment. G

Funny, I just bought Wellness and Science Diet to see about switching my
cats to a "healthier" diet. (They'd prefer to live on Friskies Dental Diet
which I understand is like junk food for cats...). I'll let you know how it
goes....

Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but it's Science Diet Maintenance. Not only has
her shedding decreased, but her excrements don't smell much at all (she

did
go through a transition period where her urine was very stinky, though!).
She also seems to have a lot more energy now, but that could be due to a
slight weight loss (although she seems even more energetic now that she

was
when she was at an ideal weight). She has done very well on SD but YMMV.

I
know other cats have not done so well on it.
