Default Amber wouldn't eat Sunday

For some reason, Amber refused to eat on Sunday. She spent the whole
day on her heated window perch.I tried to give her an appetite pill but
she spit it out three times. This morning she ate a normal breakfast.
She really had me concerned.

TuTu has a day like that from time to time. If it continues, I'll give
her a dose of Laxatone or Petromalt. After a
bm her appetite returns. Some days are just like that. Good luck. MLB

They do like to scare us, don't they? I'm glad she seems okay today.

She wouldn't eat Monday evening and then threw up. This morning she
went to her food dish three times but wouldn't eat. I have a vet
appointment for 10 AM.

I hope she's OK! Please keep us posted.

Default Amber wouldn't eat (UPDATE)

The vet did a blood panel (at my request) and it showed a low white
blood cell count. She had no temperature. The vet gave her an
antibiotic shot and I have to bring her back tomorrow for another. The
blood panel showed that all her organs were within the normal range
which eased my mind a lot. She still hasn't eaten anything . Hopefully
she will eat in the morning.

I'm sorry I missed your post, yesterday.

Kenzie did the exact same thing: didn't eat on Sunday OR Monday.

Like you, I was really, really worried. Kenzie is well into being a
senior citizen cat, now.

I got her to drink a little water from a can of tuna, but she wouldn't
eat a sardine, her very favorite treat, OR any tuna, (which I would not
normally give her).

I decided to take her to the vet on Monday, but when I called, it was
too late to get an appointment

The emergency vet is SO expensive, and she didn't act sick at all; she
just wasn't eating

Monday evening, I decided get some hairball treatment, and I gave her a
good dose of it, though she virtually NEVER gets hairballs.

Overnight, Monday to Tuesday, she ate a LOT of her regular kibble.

I canceled the vet appointment.

I doubt she had a hairball; I think her tummy was just upset.

I wish I knew why, though.

Just like you don't know why Amber wouldn't eat

What are the 'appetite pills' you use for Amber?

Every day is a treasure with Kenzie; I try to treat them that way. There
will only be so many, and then there will never, ever, be any more.

Gandalf asked:

Amber?

Cyproheptadine 4mg. 1/2 tablet once daily. These came from my vet.
They didn't help this time because Amber kept spitting the pill out.
