Hooooray for Dallas!
I read in the news this morning that the Dallas RSPCA will OFFICIALLY no longer euthanize healthy cats. Yay, Dallas! Hugs and Purrs, Mark -- Proof of Sanity Forged Upon Request |

I didn't know the US had the RSPCA, I thought the "R" was only in
Britain? But that's great news, shame they don't do it over here, I keep trying to get the word out that if an animal "has" to be taken to a rehoming centre, don't take it to the RSPCA. My friend just got a cat from them and she said it was so hard to decide which one to take, knowing that the others might by PTS, sad innit? |

Actually, the 'R' is only in England and Wales, not Scotland or Northern Ireland. It's also used in Australia, I'm not sure abot Canada. -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy and Bagheera) A House is not a home, without a cat. http://community.webshots.com/user/clowderuk So how come they use it in Dallas, or does the R mean something else there? I didn't realise they don't use it in Scotland or N Ireland, I wonder why that is. |

I wonder if that was a typo, I've only seen reference to SPCA from US posters. -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy and Bagheera) A House is not a home, without a cat. http://community.webshots.com/user/clowderuk |

That's why I was confused, I can't imagine why the US would have the
"R"! I wish we didn't for that matter, but that's another discussion. Marcia Adrian wrote: wrote: Adrian wrote: wrote: I didn't know the US had the RSPCA, I thought the "R" was only in Britain?
