That is completely unreasonable.

If vets could expect to be sued every time a procedure goes wrong,
there wouldn't BE any vets.

Accidents happen. Trying to blame somebody every time is the
mentality of a witch hunter.

Let's hope the little fellow continues to improve.

I have not suggested that the vet should be sued, of course accidents
happen, merely that Nadia should not be responsible for the vet bills that
ensue from his mistake.
Perhaps I did not make that clear.

Sounded pretty clear to me. It's not about punishing the vet, it's
about not making Nadia have to pay for a problem that might have been
caused by the vet. Of course it was inadvertent, but if it was his
mistake, then he should take responsibility for it. Most businesses
would reimburse a customer if, in the process of doing repairs or
whatever, they damaged something belonging to the customer. Doesn't
matter if it's an accident. (If they did it on purpose, *then* I'd
sue. But as several people have said, accidents happen to everyone.)

And I think most reasonable vets would offer not to charge for any
treatment needed for injuries caused by the vet.
