Rita's edge is here
We've got rain. Not much so far but it's going to continue through the night
and into tomorrow, according to the radar map on CNN. Thank God, it will cool us off a bit, finally. I was so glad to hear that it did a lot less damage than was anticipated down south. |

We do have this beautiful, weird dark cloudy haze to the southeast, which I'm sure is from Rita. I was also *so* happy that the damage was far less than estimated. Particularly Galveston. It is one of my favorite places. Sherry |

I was so glad to hear that it did a lot less damage than was anticipated down south. We had tornado watches through early this morning. It's now raining with chances of thunderstorms most of today and tomorrow and flash flood watches. It's only supposed to get up to 80F today so that's a good thing. I'm glad Rita's category was downgraded before she made landfall, otherwise things could have been really ugly. Jill |
