I know Krazy Kat is not the best example of feline behavior, but the
character is a cat and the strip has been famous for 90 years - long

Unreadable for technical reasons or because of its antiquity?

The images are quite large (the first one is 996px × 1,126px) so a high
res monitor is needed - I'm running two 1680 x 1050 LCD monitors on this
system and the image is readable, but the high res image (1,991px ×
2,252px) at full size is more so, though it has to be scrolled - at 75%
of full size, it needs only vertical scrolling on my monitor, and is
still quite readable.
