So far so good, the trach tube is out, he's responding to the steroids and
breathing better. More news tomorrow.

Long story short, I took him the vet on Tuesday for an abscess which
was treated, but he seems to have had an allergic reaction to the
antibiotic. Right now he's back at the vet with a trach-tube and being
given steroids.

Oh no! Purrs for a quick and uneventful recovery.

Sending purrs for Custer to make a quick turnaround.

Abcesses are SO nasty: by the time you know it is there, it should have
been treated days, or a week ago.

Every day is a treasure with Kenzie; I try to treat them that way. There
will only be so many, and then there will never, ever, be any more.

Default Purrs for Custer (He's home)

Picked him up from the vet this afternoon, he's good, now the fun starts
since he's got to be pilled for the next week which is a first for him.

I'm so glad he's home, and I know both of you are, too. Purrs that he isn't
too hard to pill, and that his recovery continues smoothly.

Good luck! Annie got an abscess and it was drained three weeks ago. It
looked very gruesome at the time, with lots of raw flesh, but it's
completely healed now, there's not even a scab.
