OHmygawd!!! Thank the powers-that-be that he was not more seriously
injured. Be aware, though, that some injuries are not at first apparent
because of shock. Make sure he gets checked out thoroughly (knees,
especially, are tricky injuries - I once ended up having to have surgery 9
months after a minor fall because the knee never did heal correctly).

I've checked him over thoroughly this morning. Nothing new, but bruising
developing nicely.

Really! I can't believe that someone would just drive away after having hit
someone - have they no concience!!??? I would rather take the consequences
of my actions, even jail time, than have to wonder for the rest of my life
what happened to the person I hit!

It's getting more and more common. Motorists hitting other motorists, cyclists,
pedestrians, it's all too common that they run :-(

Can't/won't the police search for that model and make of car and try to find
one with scratches/dents in the appropriate places? They're not going to
just let this go uninvestigated, will they???!!

Alas they will. It comes low down on list of police priorities... which
probably is a contributing factor to someone running...

Cheers, helen s

Ouch! This really hits home for me, as I used to commute ten miles
each way on my twelve-speed when I was still healthy. I saw enough
careless driving and downright callousness on the part of auto drivers
to last the rest of my life.

My deepest sympathies to Vernon and purrs from the rest of the
household for his speedy recovery.

Aarrrggg,
O J

Thanks OJ. Much appreicated.

Cheers, helen s
