Yes, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I need to get an AC power adapter for it though - it wasn't included - as it takes a lot of juice from the batteries uploading. I went back to town yesterday to get one, but the shop didn't have one, gave me a card with "where to get accessories from" but no luck there either. I probably won't upload any more until I can get the mains adapter. It's a steep learning curve for me, and I want to experiment with various ways of uploading to the web to share pics without keep bothering poor patient Lori to put them up for me, thanks Lori ;-) No problem! It takes me all of 90 seconds to do and I don't mind at all - don't hesitate to ask! Hugs, CatNipped I need to have my camera plugged in to the PC for this. I can almost hear it draining the batteries g I've already had to change them.. I know a lot of you have probably had digital cameras for ages and it's all old hat and taken for granted. However, this is my very first one and I have wanted one for ages but having so much illness over the last 5 years and being off work I dare not spend anything that was not absolutely necessary. The money for it came to me in an unexpected and miraculous way via this group which I don't want to expand on. Also some extra so I don't have to go back to work until Aug 31st though my money ran out on the 15th, which gives me more time to recover which has taken a weight off my mind. This group is truly..what? Caring, generous, sympathetic, all that and more. I would say wonderful and unique. Tweed |

Would strongly recommend getting 2 sets of rechargeable batteries + battery charger instead, if the price is similar - then you have them if you want to take it away with you anywhere where an AC adaptor would not be practical. Also more ecologically sound than using disposable batts all the time - and economical. I got mine from Maplin online - very reasonable. I was in two minds whether to share KFC's pic in case it upset you as they look similar. I hope you don't mind that I decided to. I'm quite proud of the way she looks as she is old. She is pretty healthy and active for an old cat, but whether she is as old as TED estimated (18, a year ago), I don't really know and she won't share her knowledge with me ;-) I would guess myself that she is around 15 or 16. 19 seems too old for how she is. She does sleep a lot, true. She likes her comfort in the winter and hardly ever goes out when it's cold, except for toilet duties. She comes into her own when the weather is warm, then she is out a lot of the time and catches *big* birdies, collared doves, brings them into my kitchen and eats them all up. Particularly so if I am late with her breakfast.. Like "GET UP EARLY to feed me or find the kitchen full of feathers!" She lived outside for years and earned her own living in my garden after she decided her hoomins were just not deserving of her. I know where she came from. I also know her name was "Lucky" I'm useless at naming. Hence my cat's names ;-) Tweed |

She is beautiful. I do miss Nikki every day, but I'm getting to the point I can talk about her without bursting ino tears, and I can think of fond memories. From your descriptions of Kitty FC, they were long-lost twin sisters. ) I'm quite proud of the way she looks as she is old. It's possible. Nikki still had a kitten's face when she passed away, and she was nearly 17. She didn't act nearly as old as Frank does. He sleeps most of the time, but Nikki was much more active and alert right up to the end. -- Marina, Frank, Miranda and Caliban. I'm still reasonably up on the ecological stuff as I used to work for Environ http://www.environ.org.uk/ I have a woodburner as my main heat source, I compost almost everything or recycle it in some way. I burn a lot of what I can't and the ashes get dug back into my garden as potash. It's hardly worth the refuse collectors calling to empty my bin. (Unlike my next-door neighbour, 2 adults, one child aged 2 nearly 3, still in disposable nappies) Their bin is just not big enough for them and they asked me if they could put some nappies in my almost empty bin. I said no. Firstly, their child is old enough to be toilet trained, and I told them that, but said if you want to keep your boy in nappies, why not take advantage of the service that provides towelling nappies, collects the dirty and wet ones, and brings them all clean and fresh back to your house at no more cost than disposables? That didn't go down well. We are still friends, though phew it is such a bad idea to fall out with your next-door neighbour! They are still not allowed to put the nappies in my almost empty bin though. I told them they need to reduce their waste. I was a little sneaky too. I told them that disposable nappies were such a disaster for the environment that it can I am (in)famous for going around turning lights off at work that I think aren't necessary. I am going to excuse myself for wanting a mains adapter for my new digital camera that I have coveted for so long ;-) Tweed |
