Default Baby Eyes Teaches Proper Etiquette

Last week I was doing some cleaning in my bedroom and by the end of the day
my bed was piled high with boxes and bags and other assorted junk. I was too
tired to clear it away so I went outside to sleep in the back of my van in
the yard. Of course, all four of the cats came out and slept there with me
too.

About 3 a.m. I woke to answer a call of nature. We live way out in the
sticks on a dead-end road, so I just stumbled out of the van and squatted in
the grass. As soon as I finished, Baby Eyes walked over to the wet spot on
the ground and started scraping at the grass in an effort to bury my waste.
She kept at it for an awfully long time.

At daybreak I watered the grass in another spot 1 few metres away, and as I
was doing so, Baby Eyes went back to the spot I had used during the night
and *very carefully* demonstrated what one is supposed to do, with large
sweeping strokes which tore the grass, occasionally shooting a brief glance
over at me, as if to say, "You've got to BURY IT when you're done, idiot!"
