Remember the spiritual "Follow the Drinking Gourd"? Well around here
it is "Follow the Drinking Straws" since I found a trail of them (at
least eight, and in all different colors) leading down the stairs this
morning.

I should pick them up, but they make me laugh.

Hahaha!! I have to get some straws for Roxy and Licky - I'm sure they'd
love them.

On a tangetial note, I often think of that song whenever I hear a
story of a stray cat showing up at someone's door (including my own -
remember Lambchop?). Some people just have houses that are part of the
Feline Underground Railroad. The directions are encoded in a song
called "Follow the Kibble Trail".

LOL! How funny. I think maybe Marina is right--If you picked up the
straws, Dante might be insulted at the destruction of his free-form
sculpture "Straws Descending a Staircase."

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some Kitty Underground Railroad
getting homeless kitties united with suckers--I mean loving hoomins
who will give them homes. =o)

I noticed that Nina's birthday present, which was on the diningroom
floor late last night, has been moved back into the bedroom, looking
VERY much the worse for wear. Mr. Straw has endured some violent
discipline today, or I miss my guess. =o)
