They are nuts about cats in Amsterdam. I went in one bar and a cat started pawing my leg. Seems I was sitting on his reserved spot. I didn't notice the sign. The bar in the hotel where I stayed has a cat flap in the front door, and Gus, who was tracked down with the chip, actually belongs to someone on the next block, across the back yard. Of course, Merle the hotel manager did say:' He's not my cat, he's his own cat. He comes and goes as he pleases, 24/7.' ' Casady |

' Casady When my kids and I visited Amsterdam 25 years ago, we stayed in a B & B. Our room was up one flight of stairs, which was long enough to be two. There was a resident cat. One day, one of us went across the hall to the loo and left the room door open. The cat wandered in, jumped on one of the beds, and let us pet it for quite a while before leaving. Joy |

You can't see the cat album unless you're in the Netherlands. The web site isn't that clever, it can be 'fooled' - just click on the little dutch flag at the bottom left of the page. -- MatSav |
