Default Kitty Kisses in the Wee Hours

I was sound asleep. But not so soundly I didn't hear the purring by my
ear. I felt little whiskers tickling my cheek. Then, a little
sandpaper tongue kissed my cheek. Once... twice.

It was nowhere near "breakfast time". Persia just wanted to give me a
little kiss

That's adorable - what a sweet girl!

Roxy was very cuddly and purry this morning, even though she had a
superior heat source in the other room. She wanted to be petted and
play "tent" under the covers. But I'm not kidding myself - she really
wanted me to get up and feed her. She's just exceedingly nice about
it.

Whenever you feel anger, you should say, "May I be free of this
anger!" This rarely works, but talking to yourself in public will
encourage others to leave you alone.

Ollie did the same, and he hardly ever plays "tent". I think he'd
been out most of the night and the last few days have been unusually
cold, with a bit of snow.

Just saw this video of a cat waking up slave.

Reminds me of Persia. But there was no kissing with this cat. -- Winnie

Awww, that's a pretty cat and a cute video! And yes, Persia still taps
me on the nose (or shoulder if I'm turned away from her) to wake me up.

She also uses the tap method to get my attention if I'm reading a book.
She'll be next to me on the couch. Out of the corner of my eye I see
this little paw reaching towards me. I'll say "What are you doing with
that paw?" and she'll tuck it away and look all innocent. When I go
back to reading, up creeps the paw again It's a little game we play.

In the morning, Buster will often try to dig me out of bed. He is a pest.
Dot sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night so that I'll let
her under the covers.

Spicey is more tentative. She's only just started to come up on the bed in
the morning. She doesn't try to wake me up. She's just anxious to know that
she'll get fed.

I think she knows she'll get fed, could she be checking where you are and
what you're doing?

She's certainly doing that, although I can't help but notice that she's
most concerned about my well being when she's hungry.

Some mornings (like today) Amber gets on the bed before I wake up and
starts to "poke" me with a paw. The problem is she doesn't retract her
claws so I could get scratched. Other than that I think it's cute.
