Just the mention of liver and bacon makes me feel hungry, I love it.
It's very economical as well. :-)

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Lamb's liver, thinly sliced, sauteed, served with caramelised
onions... crispy bacon, spicy red cabbage with apples and lots of
creamy mashed potaotes... YUM!

I actually prefer pigs liver, I'm going to have to go and buy some now.

We still have a bucket in the fridge.

I'll share.

Save one for me, uppity colonist ;-)))

Too many of them, and you'll certainly arrive there early anyway

That reminds me of when I went to stay with my uncle and aunt in Cornwall,
we were offered apple pie with 'clotted cream and custard, clotted cream and
ice-cream, or clotted cream, ice-cream, and custard.' I was only 30 at the
time, but I could still fell my arteries clogging at the thought of it!

Yikes - I think all 3 together should come with a free bus ride to the
nearest in-patients!!

Ack, now you've done it, Debbie! I'm at work, and have no way of
getting at scones, tea and clotted cream, not necessarily in that
order. =o) But I'll be thinking fixedly about them for the next two
hours. I hope you're happy!

Tee hee - sorry about that. If it's any consolation, I can't get at
scones or clotted cream either, which is probably just as well.
I agree about Irish food too - we spent a happy week in Dublin a few
years ago and the food was excellent without exception.

Well, if the weather is anything like today's, the records will be
mind-bogglingly good. :-/

Not quite. Go to Uni that started out as an agricultural
college and has a good Food Services program. That's what I did
in the late sixties, and the food in all the cafeterias on
campus was excellent.

Bad food tends to be the rule in American universities as well,
unfortunately. My high school had fairly good food, so, as a
teenager, I used to wonder why people complained so much about
institutional food. When I got to college, I found out why. Like a
lot of students, I did some of my own cooking on a (forbidden)
hotplate in my room. Also, an Asian roommate introduced me to Thai
food at a nearby restaurant, although I couldn't afford to eat there
very often.

We called the cafeteria burgers Gaines burgers (dogfood). A student asked
a server for a Gaines Burger, she asked him to sit up an beg.
