Lamb's liver, thinly sliced, sauteed, served with caramelised onions... crispy bacon, spicy red cabbage with apples and lots of creamy mashed potaotes... YUM! helen s I actually prefer pigs liver, I'm going to have to go and buy some now. :-) -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy & Bagheera) A house is not a home, without a cat. |

Too many of them, and you'll certainly arrive there early anyway That reminds me of when I went to stay with my uncle and aunt in Cornwall, we were offered apple pie with 'clotted cream and custard, clotted cream and ice-cream, or clotted cream, ice-cream, and custard.' I was only 30 at the time, but I could still fell my arteries clogging at the thought of it! Yikes - I think all 3 together should come with a free bus ride to the nearest in-patients!! Ack, now you've done it, Debbie! I'm at work, and have no way of getting at scones, tea and clotted cream, not necessarily in that order. =o) But I'll be thinking fixedly about them for the next two hours. I hope you're happy! Tee hee - sorry about that. If it's any consolation, I can't get at scones or clotted cream either, which is probably just as well. I agree about Irish food too - we spent a happy week in Dublin a few years ago and the food was excellent without exception. I think it's great! The cool weather should mean some new records in track and field events. Well, if the weather is anything like today's, the records will be mind-bogglingly good. :-/ Deb. -- http://www.scientific-art.com "He looked a fierce and quarrelsome cat, but claw he never would; He only bit the ones he loved, because they tasted good." I thought bad University food was universal! Not quite. Go to Uni that started out as an agricultural college and has a good Food Services program. That's what I did in the late sixties, and the food in all the cafeterias on campus was excellent. -- Wayne M. |

Bad food tends to be the rule in American universities as well,
unfortunately. My high school had fairly good food, so, as a teenager, I used to wonder why people complained so much about institutional food. When I got to college, I found out why. Like a lot of students, I did some of my own cooking on a (forbidden) hotplate in my room. Also, an Asian roommate introduced me to Thai food at a nearby restaurant, although I couldn't afford to eat there very often. -- John F. Eldredge -- ================================= We called the cafeteria burgers Gaines burgers (dogfood). A student asked a server for a Gaines Burger, she asked him to sit up an beg. Suz&Spicey |
