Frontline spray is safe on kittens from two days old (It gives this on the
literature and I've checked with a vet). I've used it on small kittens of
less
than a week old with no ill-effect to the kittens. Fleas can kill kittens -
they can rapidly reduce them to a severely anaemic state that *can* kill.
personally I would not hesitate to use Frontline spray - you only require a
tiny amount per kitten - Mum should also be done.

Cheers, helen s

The thing that concerns me, is, Mum is going to groom those kittens and ingest
the Frontline. Frontline may be safe, but I wouldn't want her to do that. I'd
still pick and squish. But that's just me.

That's what I'm doing(pick and squish) as the vet advised against Frontline
due to the grooming issue...she knew nothing about the rosemary wash.
:-(..guess I'll do a google on it...thought as it was a non chemical route
it might be good...the little blk male is the bigger of the 2 but the little
baby girl is sure a feisty one! she squirms and rabbit kicks ........with
little bitty feet :-) to get to the prize nipple... :-) Liz

The thing to remember, though, is that many "drugs" are naturally
occuring in nature - cocaine, aspirin, theophylline, tubocurarine, and
caffeine, to name a few - though refined for human meds, speaking as
an Army pharmacy NCO (retired).
