Default Major storm today

High winds - up to 90 mph in the valleys and 113 in the mountains.
Thunder, lightning and snow again. At my home. we have about 3 inches
again and it's cold. We are purring for all the kitties and outside
animals to find shelter. The news said power sis out to thousands of
homes and roof and trees were blown off in the high winds late today.\

We're getting the rain version, plus lots of wind.

Whenever you feel anger, you should say, "May I be free of this
anger!" This rarely works, but talking to yourself in public will
encourage others to leave you alone.

Yikes! I'm sure you've mentioned it repeatedly, but my memory isn't that
good. Where are you located?

Purrs for all people and animals.

Many, many purrs for you and yours. After the whopper of a storm that
hit Chicago and then the ice storm the states a bit east of IL - I
all too well understand your desire for spring. It's now flirting
with us, but the front steps and walk (brick) are still covered in a
thick coat of ice. Having a north facing front so no sunlight hits
the walk is not helping. The sand on the walk and steps so as to not
severely injur or kill the UPS and Fed EX peeps is sooo gritty in the
foyer. We actually have a little bowl of water and towels at all
entrances to clean off little paws in an attempt to save the hardwood
floors...failing in that regard, btw.

Stay safe and warm! Hope your power stays on.

That's beautiful country where you live - 37 years ago we went there
for our honeymoon, ultimately camping in Estes Park, CO after touring
around the west.

Ah! I visited Salt Lake City once, many years ago. My main memory is being
impressed at how clean the streets were. I didn't see any litter of any
kind. I also remember feeling very safe there. We had flown there
(Actually, I had flown us there, having recently received my private pilot
license) and were staying in a motel a few blocks from the hotel where my
husband's Barbershop (singers) convention was taking place. At least once,
my daughter and I attended one of the events in the evening, but were ready
to go back to the motel before my husband was. We walked those few blocks,
late at night, and felt perfectly safe.

Downtown is being re-constructed (again) and I haven't been there in
many years. In my mind's eye, it is still the old SLC I remember. The
new buildings will be big and beautiful, as have
been all the recent changes. But I'm afraid "old timers" will not
recognize it. It's called "progress". There will be many downtown
apartments and condos. Thanks and best wishes. MLB

You are so going to hate me. In North Carolina it is currently (at abt
3 pm Eastern Standard Time) it is 69 F cloudy and no rain is expected.
Speedy D*g has killed his first wild bunny of the year. He sublet his
igloo condo to the stray and feral cats this winter and I saw one of
them in the neighbor's yard a couple of days ago. No flowers blooming
yet. Amanda Lynn, my DIL, went through 3 to 4 days of non-productive
labor and is back at the kids' townhouse after they stopped the labor.

Hit the wrong button. She is dialated about 2 cm and holding. However,
we have more news. I'll start a separate post for that.
