Default Child Protection - long, sorry!

{{{{{{{{{{Patti}}}}}}}}}

I'm so sorry. It almost happened to me, and that was traumatic enough.

My idiot sister decided that I was a rotten parent. I found out later that
her husband told her that I'd made a pass at him (not true) and she decided
to punish me by siccing child protective services on me. At first her
charges were just funny, I'd bought my oldest son clothes at Goodwill (a
charity thrift chain) and she turned me in for that. Then she turned me in
for refusing to get him baptized in the Lutheran church. Then someone told
her what she could turn me in for and it got ugly.

After a while the Army put an information lock on us so that she couldn't
track us down through them and turn us in any more. Still every May
(mother's day), September (my birthday) and December (Christmas) finds me
depressed, stressed, having nightmares, and feeling suicidal. Which were
the responses the woman wanted me to feel, I suspect. I was so grateful
when Amanda turned 18 and she couldn't use our kids against us any more. I
try but I have never been able to forgive her.

Default Child Protection - long, sorry!

You know something Pam, as a blind person, I got turned in many times to
DCFS.

I put my son in a harness on a clothes line, there was a big hog lot 100
feet from our house. The rope was at the back of the harness and he never
got even close to having is around his neck.

The second part of this is that he had a way of getting out of all of his
clothing without disturbing the harness. I had to defend this four times in
his third year.

I figure there are things as people we cannot forgive. That is why I
believe in an after life. Give God another job, let him do the forgiving on
some things. I have to feel this way because, I can't forgive. I could
have lost my son over some one else's stupidity.

The judge asked the people the same questions. Do you want the child to go
into the hog lot to play with the piggies? Do you want him locked in the
house all the time?

Sorry for the rant but that is one of my "buttons". I hate to think with
the way DCFS does things these days, what would happen.

Default Child Protection - long, sorry!

I have a funny thing to add. I got turned into Child protection service a
few years ago. When the worker showed up at my house and said she had a
complaint that the children had no food no privacy and no clothes

I started laughing at her and said my kids get fed twice a day a large can
split up between and they are not wearing any clothes. She said she need to
come in on check on them since I am refusing to deal with her. I said get a
warrant. And when you do I will love for you to meet my lawyer and have a
good video for America funniest home video. My kids have 4 legs and if they
need clothes I need a hole in my head. There are cats. I closed the door
laughing at her. Never heard another thing

I don't think they set her up. She had my name my address some personal
information on me. I think I was either the ex or one of her family members
but it was funny and also very scary on how stupid CPS can be. A simple
check to see what kids are registered to this address through the schools
would have shown no school in the area have me listed as a primary or
secondary address which is required. That is a extremely simple search for
them to do.

That sounds more like a sense of vengeance than humor. Here, even if you
are proved innocent, your name stays around for awhile and, if anything else
happens, they call all the "bad" stuff up.
