Default Healing purrs update...

It was a nasty old cold alright, but I'm finally on the mend after
being pretty much flat on my back for five days... dare I say that I'm
almost better, or will that bring the germies back to take revenge? :P
Alas John's iron constitution wasn't as germ-proof as he'd hoped,
because I was just starting to get better and he caught it! He's been
sick enough to take two days off work and spend most of them in bed
asleep, which tells you something! The poor thing HAS to go to work
tomorrow like it or not and what's more he has to be out on site at
8am to placate an important client who was NOT happy at being kept
waiting... so keep the purrs coming for him please...

Lots of purrs that you both feel better. But tell him if all else fails to
cough on the impatient client.

Like they never get sick. Sheesh.

who the client is, no one can work with a killer migrane.)

John went to work today and felt so bad that he made us both a doctors
appointment and came home at lunchtime... I've got to wake him up in
half an hour so he can get ready... I don't think there's anything to
doctor can do about the virus, but his lungs have been trashed for
years and he thinks he's getting bronchitis and that's very bad. Last
time he had it he was out of action for almost a month. At this rate
it looks like we'll be trading our vacation in for sick leave.

Thanks Adrian! The doctor said he's got viral bronchitis (isn't that
just a fancy way of saying a chest cold?) and my virus has taken up
residence in my sinuses instead...
He gave us both an antibiotic, but I'm puzzled as to why, because
everyone ought to know that antibiotics only work against bacteria,
not viruses! John's taking his, but I'm going to hang on to mine for a
few days more and see if I actually need it. He's also taking the rest
of the week off... which sucks, not because he's home sick but because
like I said, we're trading in our annual vacation for a week at home
in bed!

The antibiotics are for secondary infections which can and do take hold.
Purring that you both recover quickly. Before antibiotics were known, I
had a cold that lasted for 3 months. Best wishes. MLB
