Reunion (OT)
I was shopping today and as I got out of my car there was someone standing
right there. It was someone I worked with until recently. She told me I looked "fabulous, all the strain and worry from your face has gone" She is also taking my route and will be out of there in a few weeks even though like me she is not old enough to retire. Like myself she does not like what is happening with the government cuts and has lost the will to do the job. The workload is tremendous, unmanagable. It's such a shame. She is a really good social worker. There will be no-one any good left soon if this carries on. I'm really glad I got out when I did. I understand that our prevous govt overspent but really, the new one cannot cut everything which they seem to be doing. No need to reply, just venting. Tweed |

I can't see why this govt. is cutting everything. They say that the private sector businesses will make up the lost jobs. How they are going to do that when most people are cutting their spending, not only those who have or are about to lose their jobs but everyone else because they know they could be next. If teachers, doctors, nurses, police, ambulance staff, firemen and women, not to mention the forces, oh, and the people who would be making the equipment for them, are not secure, then they are obviously not going to but new houses, carpets furniture, cars or anything else. That puts more people out of work. Soon we'll have more people claiming unemployment benefit than paying income tax. Oh, and the statement made recently that they have now realised that the poorest people are the one's most suffering from the govt. policies made my blood boil and had me shouting at the television again. Just when I thought I'd conquered that habit. The thing is that I made a good decision for myself. The other thing is that the govt seem to have to make these cuts and both myself & my colleague know this is a bad thing, so we are out from their idea. I never realised until she said that I looked worried and strained, looking back, I probably did. Not now though! Tweed |

Fortunately he likes Whiskas pouches so it does not break the bank. Good job he has not noticed all the other better foodies available on the internet ;-) Tweed |
