VERY strange.

Hit 99 degrees here today, previous record was 87.

Oddly enough, on Sept. 9th, EXACT same record temp
was reached, AND exact same previous record was broken!

Strangest thing was that I had a cat AND a dog inside
with me today.

GLyN didn't want to try his usual hiding places, so
he came in, and I'm dog sitting so he was here too.
GLyN doesn't like dogs, but Monkey Face doesn't want
to mess with GLyN, so it has worked out OK.

Currently, almost 6pm, and it's 89 outside,
and 90 degrees inside, with 3 fans running.

The animals clearly feel as bad as I do.

I sympathize. I'm also in SoCal, but I now have air conditioning. I
went a good many years without it, so I remember what it was like. My
cats are both indoor only, and we're all three appreciating the AC.

It's pretty bad in NoCal as well. Yesterday it hit 96 degrees (35.5 C).
Usually it just doesn't get that hot around here. This is definitely one
of those days when I'm happy to be at work!

Whenever you feel anger, you should say, "May I be free of this
anger!" This rarely works, but talking to yourself in public will
encourage others to leave you alone.

Where in NoCal are you? Are you anywhere near the fires? My sister,
brother-in-law and nephew live in Petaluma, and my aunt lives in Volcano.

I live right near San Francisco, and I work just south of the city. We are
on the *coast*. I can't imagine what the temps must be like inland.

I know it's been very hot in Petaluma. I haven't talked to my aunt
lately, but I'm sure it's been quite hot there, too.

Wow! That's definitely unusual for the Bay Area.
It is only 54F here right now in the morning going to 70F in the afternoon.
Say good bye to Indian summer and
time to get my winter coats ready for the fall and winter.

It's much, much better today. The fog came in last night and now it's about
25 degrees F cooler.

And what a difference 25 degrees makes no matter where you live!

Yep, here too. High today was 83, but it's already down to 70,
so tonight could hit 65 by morning. MUCH nicer than 80+!
