enthusiastic about pettin's. *He picked her up, but she just lay limp in his
arms and when he tried to stand her up she just keeled over. *He grabbed her
up and rushed to the emergency vet. *The vet said that they could treat her,
but the treatment were extremely expensive and in the end would only have

it over (I was still trying to get out of the hospital so I could have one

what was right for her. *Ben was walking back to tell the vet and he met the
vet coming out front. *The vet told Ben that is was already out of our
hands, Sammy had passed away while Ben was on the phone with me.

On examination, the vet found that she had congenital heart failure caused
by a hole in her heart that she was born with, and that she was born with

symptoms came on so suddenly, but the fluids inside her lungs, heart, and
chest cavity literally drowned her.

I am devastated, but somehow also calmly accepting because I have a feeling
that my little heart cat has only gone ahead a few steps to help me make the
crossing easier.

Anyway, there's no need to respond to this or to me, *I'm leaving, but I
only wish you well.

I am so sorry!

Sammy went forward calling for the way to be made straight, and awaits
you in a place where the love is eternal.

For what it's worth, Lori, I do love you!

Blessed be,

Lori, I am sorry you feel this way, but your recollection of your reception
in this group is radically different to my own. However, there seems littl
epoint arguing - I just hope you know you have friends here in RPCA.

Now, however, I think it's only fair to update fans of the Samazon on

This news is so so sad. I'm glad Ben was there to help her, and she didn't
suffer too long, but it seems just so unfair. I'm really sorry, Lori, I
really am. Wish there was some way of taking this, and your other burdens,
from you.

At that time I think they gave up on any specific treatment and did just
what I'd asked them to do - let me go home and die in peace.

So are you home now? I hope you don't die for purely selfish reasons-
I would miss you very much

I'm very sorry to hear of this. I lit a candle for her.

Lori -

I'm so very sorry to read about Sammy's passing. Having lost two fur
kids to HCM, I can sympathize with how sudden and shocking it can be.
You gave her a good life, and from all your activites with Sammy
postings, it was pretty clear she was a happy beastie and knew
perfectly well who loved her.

As far as other things....I don't post a lot, hence my chronic "lurker"
status. I read. Doesn't mean I don't care, doesn't mean anyone is
being shunned. Usually just means I don't have anything I think can add
to what's already been said.

On top of that, with Katie still with me but slowly losing ground to the
tumor in her nose, I have a tough time coming up with anything I
consider worth writing, and when someone else's fur kid has a problem,
it sometimes cuts a bit close to my heart.

I think there's plenty of people here who really do care, and I for one
would not want you to leave. I can't say anything that can heal your
heart, but hopefully be another voice in support.

Purrs and healing thoughts-

Chris, Katie, Hazard and Oreo
