You were blessed to have had each other. Many purrs and prayers for
dear Aggie, as she goes to her new adventure in her well-earned
"retirement" (for it's hard work for a cat, keeping her Two-Legs well-
cared-for!) and for you guys too, and your sore hearts.

Blessed be,

David and I just couldn't believe what we were seeing, we were so glad for
her and for us.

Aggie Marble had problems, many problems with UTI's and there were always
litter box situations. We were told by one vet that Aggie also had ISSUES,
that had to be taken care of by a feline behavorist.

Aggie didn't like any of the other cats. She didn't ever like other people.
She often came into the public rooms of the house when food or treat cans
or bags were being opened. Sometimes she would lie under the dinning room
table and watch what was going on but was very content to not join in and
stay under the bed. She didn't go outside by her own choice.

Aggie Marble was my Girlfriend. We were the only females in a house full of
males for many years. At night she would lie on my tummy/chest while I read
and patted her at the same time. She would purr and head butt my book.

Her kidneys failed. She and I and Dr. Hernandez worked very hard to make
this all come out alright. But when I took her to the clinic again she had
lost her zest, she was tired, she had started vomiting, her values were high
again.

As I petted her she was so completely relaxed, not a bit tense as she
usually is in the vets office. It was time to let her go to where she would
feel well again.

Thank you Joy for the hug (which I needed) and the comforting words. It's
so difficult yet I know it was the best for her.

I'm so sorry, Charleen. You know you made the right decision, but that
doesn't make it hurt any less.

Thanks Vicky. She'll be okay. She'll find Mr. Pumpkin and they'll talk
over old times. I glad that she isn't being poked and prodded and being
given three pills a day which we both hated in addition to her physcial
discomfort. She helped us make the decision.

Thank you so much. That is so beautiful and so true. We are all doing
well, sad but okay, because we knew and she knew it was time and the right
thing to do. Appreciate you kind thoughts.

Baha thank you so very much for the lovely uplifting words you wrote. She
did her Two-Leg work quietly and without much notice but it got done. I
must admit I had not thought of it until you mentioned it; another one of
her talents! Thank you for your insight!

I'm sorry to hear this, Charleen. I'm glad that she was able to live a
long life (even if much of it was lived under your bed - sounds like she
learned how to enjoy the comfort of a warm human to lie on and be petted
by!), and that she had a peaceful passing.

I still think about Four from time to time, and wonder what his life
would have been like if he had lived. It hasn't been an easy year for
you in terms of furry friends.

Aww...I'm very sorry to read this. I'm sure she knew how much
she was loved. It's never easy to let them go, even if it's
the right thing to keep our furred friends from suffering.

Purrs of sympathy, and for your heart to heal.

Be glad for Aggie because she is going on an adventure we cannot even
imagine. She is without pain and without fear but she remembers you
with love and you may very well know her presence again.

I don't know whether "loners" at the Bridge continue their distaste
for other cats (and for d*gs or humans) I suspect they remain
standoffish but without fear or unpleasantness and make some friends,
possibly slowly. So she won't be painfully lonely while she waits.

Our purrs are for you to get over the understandable pain and feeling
of loss. You did many wonderful things for your kitty as she did for
you. And at the end you did the right thing. As she always knew you
would.
