wrote in message ... The cat finally peed in the litter box for the first time, but didn't bury it. Is that strange? It's just sitting on top in a puddle. Kind of hard for the litter to clump that way. :-) Hope you gave your friend lots of good praise; he done good and so did you. Some kitties cover and some don't; individual differences! Christine |

wrote in message ... Unfortunately, my wife bought "Fresh scent" litter. I didn't notice any scent before, but it seems like after the cat peed in it, it activated a pretty strong, perfumey smell. I'll replace it with unscented tomorrow and see if that helps. Geez, I seriously don't think I talked about "poop" and "pee" this much when we had our first child! LOL! Uh, we did with our kids, particularly around potty-training time. Believe me, cats are much easier than kids in this! Christine |

"Cathy Friedmann" wrote in message ... wrote in message ... On 02 Dec 2003 03:11:39 GMT, olitter (PawsForThought) I use a litter called Swheat Scoop made from wheat, all natural and no smell. Most pet supply stores carry it. I'll look for it, but I live in a town of 15,000...so it's pretty much WalMart (soon to be MicroSoftWalMart). The World's Best Cat Litter is also non-scented; it's made from corn, is a clumping litter, & is truly flushable. However, I don't know if Wal-Mart carries it or not. Cathy -- "Staccato signals of constant information..." ("The Boy in the Bubble") Paul Simon WalMarts here in Albuquerque don't carry it; Petsmart does, Petco does but is more expensive there; some Health Food stores that have pet food sections carry it. I think it's great stuff but only some of my 5 cats like it as much as I do. Christine |

wrote in message ... Yeah, I was pretty happy. I let her watch me cover it, and I gave her some serious kudos. She's gonna be a good cat, I can tell. See! You did the right thing and all of your worries are for naught! And your good girl is safe and snug inside. Wonderful. |
