"tioga 0630" wrote in message om... .... This person is in Northeastern Pennsylvania. .... One other question: Is it normal to be bothered by thinking of a cat becoming "depressed" if she can no longer go outdoors? I volunteer at a nursing home, and frankly, most of the (mentally competent) women there don't seem to mind too much. But then again, these women never had fun rolling in the grass and pretending they were queens of the jungle in their glory days. Tioga, I'm sorry that I can't give more down-to-earth help, but I'm a long way from Penn. I will keep her and the cat in my prayers. As for the second question, don't be too quick to assume that "these women never had fun rolling in the grass pretending they were queens of the jungle in their glory days." If you knew, you might be surprised. As for the cat, how about a little more information? Is this the same cat or a different cat? Has she shown specific behavior that you think might indicate depression? How much of her time was outdoors and how much was indoors? Are you thinking of offering the cat to the nursing home or is she already there? Annie |
