... Go wank yourself. There's obviously a *big* difference of opinion here, I don't consider "all life stages" to be kitten food, *exclusively* kitten foods have more protein, therefore they are not comparable. Period. Now, go back and re-read my first sentence. Funny that the Felidae and Wellness have more protein than the Science Diet then, right? |

"Steve G" wrote in message om... (GAUBSTER2) wrote in message ... (...) YES, THEY ARE! A food that is "all life stages" is a growth food...READ KITTEN FOOD! We're talking nutrients here, please try to keep up. Typing in caps doesn't add weight to your argument. 'All life stages' foods are not 'kitten food', they are 'all life stages' food. If they were 'kitten food', it would say 'kitten food' on the can. Note that the AAFCO guidelines allow for a food that is 'appropriate' for all life stages. Some questions for you to ponder: - Would all 'maintenance'-labelled foods fail the 'growth' part of the feed tests? - Are all 'growth' and 'all life stages' foods significantly different on key nutritional factors? - Will feeding a food labelled 'all life stages' necessarily lead to nutritional problems in adult cats? - Once weaning is over, how are 'growth' and 'all life stages' foods differentiated out there in nature? Mull 'em over, and maybe get some WD40 on that caps key. I don't get it. ALS foods pass the requirements for kittens. I'd like to know what, exactly, nutrient wise, distinguishes an ALS food from a kitten food. ALS foods meet the requirements for kitten foods. So do kitten foods. Maintenance foods usually don't. What, then, is the exact difference in classification between the ALS and kitten food? |

Then stop replying to my posts, asshole. I'm not going to waste my time
looking for what I'm sure are non-existent links you claim to have posted. I think the only link you may have ever posted is one about bacteria in feces, which proved your post wrong, BTW. Lauren, you're a troll--pure and simple. Killfile me, I dare you. |

Once again, comparing "all stages" to "kitten" food. While an ALS food
will be formulated to *meet* growth needs *and* accomodate maintenance, a specifically *kitten* food will be formulated specifically for *kittens*, and therefore contain higher protein. Once again, they are *not* the same. So keep waiting for that apology. I stand by what I stated previously. Karen, you're spinning. You're trying to find shades of grey that don't exist. Why? Because you've been shown to be wrong on this particular subject, perhaps? Foods that contain nutrient profiles established for growth can also be labeled "all life stages". Foods that have nutrient profiles established for growth aren't neccessarily appropriate for adult and senior cats. Senior cats (especially) don't have the same nutrient requirements as kittens. The concept is pretty simple, really. |

Why do you think this
continues not only with me but everyone else that you've butted heads with? Because there are a bunch of immature, unhappy people that have finally found a haven amongst other losers and then don't like it when they are challenged? shrug You're an obnoxious asshole and you seem to think the ideas you've leached from some other people are fact and should hold true in every situation. From: "Cheryl" You're an obnoxious asshole and you seem to think the ideas you've leached from some other people are fact and should hold true in every situation. You obviously didn't go to church today! |
